One powerful bond between a father and a son is blood. This cannot be changed. A father may say to his son, “I disown you,” but that cannot alter the biological reality—he is still his son. Nothing can change that, not even a blood transfusion. It is a matter of nature.
In the book of the Gospel of John 14:6, Jesus said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Jesus emphasized that being part of the Kingdom, being born again, is a family affair. To belong to this family, you must come through Him. When we are born again, we receive God’s nature, and He becomes our Father. Jesus becomes our elder brother. One major focus of Jesus’ ministry was introducing God as Father. This was not accidental—it was intentional. He understood that trusting God becomes difficult, even impossible, if we do not see Him as our Father. A healthy relationship with God begins with this understanding. When “Father” is removed from the picture, religion takes its place.
The Love of a Father
The word “Father” encompasses all that God is—protection, provision, purpose, and power, and much more. You do not have to feel that God is angry with you. You do not have to live in fear or sadness as though God has withdrawn His support. Why? Because you are a child of the Most High God. There is no disowning in this new covenant.
Everything the Father has belongs to you. This is called inheritance. In the parable found in the Gospel of Luke 15:11–32, despite all the wrong choices the younger son made, his father saw him from afar, ran to him, and embraced him with love. This is the heart of a Father—one who looks beyond faults and seeks every opportunity to restore and bless.
Without his father, the younger son would have lived a life worse than a slave. But because he had a father, he was restored to the life of a son, honored and valued. This is why trusting God is not a struggle rooted in fear, but a response to His love.
Like Father, Like Son
Generally, a child’s lifestyle reflects the provision of the father. If a father is poor, the children often live within that limitation. If he is wealthy, the children live accordingly. Have you ever seen someone without a job still considered rich simply because of their father’s wealth? Their identity is tied to their father.
Our Father is the King of kings. Therefore, we are meant to live with a royal mindset. Understanding what it truly means for God to be your Father gives you every reason for trusting God completely. All excuses for fear, doubt, or stagnation begin to fade away.
In Epistle to the Romans 5:8–11, we see that even when we were against God, He still demonstrated His love by helping and saving us. Now that we are reconciled to Him, how much more will He help us? This truth strengthens our confidence in trusting God daily.
There is absolutely no reason for you to fail. When others say, “It looks like you won’t get that job,” you can confidently respond with assurance, not based on circumstances, but on the unshakable truth that you have a Father who desires the best for you.
Conclusion
Trusting God is not just a spiritual principle—it is a family reality. When you understand that God is your Father, faith becomes natural, confidence becomes stable, and your future becomes secure. Not to miss new articles, subscribe to my Telegram channel: t.me/fubarabenebo
