Some people think that the day they received Jesus as Lord and saviour, that experience is spiritual growth. They even use this thought as a tool to influence other people. You are buying a product and the seller says “This product is very excellent. I won’t lie to you. I am a Christian.”
When you become born again, positionally you are perfect. Positionally, you have everything you can ever need in life. Positionally, you are blessed with all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3) But all of this is in your spirit not in your mind or your flesh.
If you lied a lot when you were a sinner, the day you become born again, you will still have that tendency except you do something about it. If you were not smart before you became born again, you will still be stupid except you work on your mind. As Christians, you ought to live out of your spirit because you are a spirit being (Galatians 5:25).
Where you see Christians living like unbelievers, they are living out of the dictates of the flesh. They are living against who they really are. If you are doing so, you are betraying yourself. Shift your life to the things of the spirit and let your life blossom in ways you thought not possible.
Spiritual growth is when your practice matches your position. When your practice aligns with what is in your spirit, growth will occur. Remember in your spirit you are blessed. As you read scriptures, you will see how a blessed man ought to live. When you see it, believe it, act accordingly and the blessings will begin to manifest in your life.
