Redemption means being bought back. We were with God until Adam sinned and caused us to be separated from God. But now there is good news. We have been bought back by God. We are totally from the devil. So we are no longer in the Kingdom of darkness. You are now in God’s Kingdom, a Kingdom of light. You are God’s property

God’s Property

Every single part of your body is owned by God. Your liver, your organs, your hands and legs are God’s property. What you own, will you not maintain it? He is the maintainer of your destiny. (Psalm 16:5) Sickness and failure have no part in your destiny. His plans for you are good and not evil. When you know you are God’s property, evil will play no part in your life. I know you have heard stories of a believer you know that got attacked by criminals and died or was involved in an accident or was very ill. That is not your case. It cannot happen to you and you need to say that in faith so that fear has no root in your life. Nothing evil will accomplish its work in your life. You are kept by God’s power.

His power can keep you from falling. (Jude 24) Falling into sickness, falling into despair, falling into poverty, he can keep you from every evil circumstance. The rod of the wicked will not rest on the righteous. Well, I know someone some good Christians who suffered sickness and poverty. What about them? Now that you know better than them, you won’t join them. Now that you know God owns and keeps you, you won’t join them.

God’s Payment

Your life has been fully paid for. Redemption does not just mean to buy back but it also means to buy out. That is to take out of the market place. Do you know what that means? We are no longer for sale. We are secured in Christ. There are people who will come and want to sell you want is happening in the country so you can buy into it. It is hard to get a good job these days. Mr. so and so died of cancer. Once you agree by saying “Yes things are hard, it is not easy”, the devil will begin trading those thoughts in your life. How can you rise if you think there is no way up? You are not in the whatever will be, will be market. You are in the “I will prosper market.”

When Jesus said: “It is finished” on the cross, it meant that all that was necessary for you to be saved has been done (John 19:30). All that is necessary for you to prosper has been done. So it is not out there somewhere. It is in what Christ has done. What he did is complete. There is nothing else to do than receive what has been done. Receive God’s saving grace now. Who do you think he died for? He died for you. He came to seek what was lost (Luke 19:10). He found you and brought you back.

God’s Purpose

Redemption accomplished three things. We have been redeemed from the three (3) fold blow of the law. We have been redeemed from poverty, sickness and spiritual death. Christ through his poverty made us rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). Christ through his stripes made us healed (1 Peter 2:24). Christ through his death gave us life (John 3:16, John 5:24). We are to conform to the image of Christ. That has been done in our spirit as a result of the new birth. It was instant and it happened by believing. So if believing brought about a change in our spirit, then believing will bring about a change in our minds and body. What are we believing? What Christ has done for us. Christ did riches. He did healings. He gave life. That is what our lives ought to show and it will once we align our mind and body to these redemptive truths. Agree to what the bible says about you. We have been redeemed from every single thing that that is of the devil.
