We all want to identify with anything that screams success. We all want to identify with products, people or places that gives us an identity of success. If you wanted to be the coolest guy in your area, you know the type of trending clothes to buy and products to make it happen. When actors are given a role to play, the physical acting is not just enough, the clothes you wear and the words you say matter he convincing the audience. So when it comes to being a person of faith, how do we fit into that role? How can we be identified as such a person? The source of faith is Christ therefore if Christ is in you then you are a person of faith. You started off that way and you are to continue that way (Colossians 2:6).

Jesus never sinned, never failed, never fell ill, never had a mental breakdown, was never bankrupt. Don’t you want such attributes in your life? If yes, faith is the answer. For all these feats to be in one person shows that it is not natural. It is supernatural. There is no way you can identify with such perfection without engaging the supernatural. Faith engages the supernatural. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 it says:

17 Therefore IF ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

So for you to be in Christ, you need to be in faith (Ephesians 2:8). Get this truth in you. We are not doing identity theft when it comes to Christ’s life. When you steal someone’s identity, you are impersonating the person so as to receive certain benefits the person’s has. This is illegal and once caught, you will be arrested. The life of Christ has been given to us. We have it. It is not by impersonation but by impartation. Walk with the mind of ownership.

When we read the word and see Christ in the word, His life that was imparted to us is activated. Proverbs 4:22 talks about God’s word being life and health to us.

22 For they are LIFE unto those that find them, and HEALTH to all their flesh.

We need to see Christ in the word for his life to become true in our lives. In Luke 5:18-25 four men brought a man that was sick to Jesus. Jesus saw their faith but the question most people do not think about is what did the four men see? They saw Christ. When you read the word, who do you see yourself as? Do you see yourself as the sick person being carried? Do you see yourself as the Pharisees or Sadducee? No, you are in Christ, so all that you see yourself as should be Jesus. Jesus represents you. That is who you identify with. The whole bible is about Jesus and if you are in Jesus then it is all about you. You want to know who you really are, look at Jesus.

Christ took our life full of failure and gave us his own life full of glory. We identify and bring to reality all that Christ is through faith. Products can make you look like a success, a hotel can make you feel like a success or a person may make you think you are a success but once you become born again and have believed in your heart that Jesus is Lord, his life has made you a success. His life is yours.

Some of you may be like “I have been a Christian for many years yet things are as bad as when I was an unbeliever. How come? In Matthew 9:28-29, two blind men came to Jesus and see what happened:

28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, BELIEVE YE that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT UNTO YOU.
30a AND THEIR EYES WERE OPENED;………………………….

My answer to the question is “believe.” It is on what you believe that will determine how far you go. It is what you see that you can possess. If I told you to bring my pen from the table and you went to the table but could not see it because of a lot of stuff on the table. If you cannot see it, how will you take it? If you believe in pills it will take you as far as it can take you and end there. Some diseases still have no cure. The state of your life or where you are is based upon your faith. You can be a Christian and yet not take advantage of your Christ like nature.

When you fell ill, did you claim your healing and rebuke the sickness? In this new life you have now, health is who you are, not sickness. When you had financial issues, where you reasoning how you can beg for money and enter more debt or did you realise that though Christ was rich, he took your nature of poverty and gave you his nature of riches? That is why through faith; we receive a mighty supply from God to meet all our needs according to His riches in glory. When you were facing a tough situation, where you standing on the scriptures, the righteous are as bold as a lion or were you fearful? Faith releases a boldness to do impossible and be unstoppable. Our Faith becomes effective by seeing Jesus in the Word of God. Your wisdom is in Christ, your peace is in Christ and your victory is in Christ.

The author is simply talking about the “incredible supernatural exchange”.
Walking in the consciousness of it, brings home the “life abundant!”(John10:10). Thank you sir, for this enlightenment.
